Stevens and Gorton's Report.
We had a large attendance at our «ale at Bulls on Tuesday. Bidding was brisk and the prices obtained showed a decided increase m favor of young stock, and more particularly female stock of all ages. Sheep came forward m considerably larger numbers than were advertised, we succeeded, however, m quitting the whole of them under the hammer at very satisfactory prices with the excention of three small pens which failed to reach the'vendors reserves, good hacks weve m better demand than usual and the majority of those offered were sold. Tho following were the prices realized : — Cattle. — Mixed weaners, 26a 6d ; mixed yearlings, 28s to 32s 6d ; 18-naonth (mixed), 378; 18-month to 2-yr steers, £2 10s ; 2£-yr steers,, £3 ss ; store cows, £2 10s to M 2b ; 18-month heifers, 31s. A grand pen of beef from Brandon Hall was passed m at £7 10s. Shoop. — Lambs, 4s 9d to 5s 9d ; ewes m lamb, 6s 7d to 10s 2d ; fqrward ewes, 7s 8d to 9s 6d ; store wethers, 9s to lls 6d ; fat sheep, 10a to Us. Horses. — Hacks, 5a to
