David Roland, settler residing at Jackeytown gave evidence to seeing the cattle trespass on the Natives' land for Weeks together ; lie said it was a well kilbwh fact that Mr Buick's cattle grazed mdve' on other people's land than his own. • Karapanu (Native) gave further evidence. Mr S. C. • Hartley acting as intrepreter. After a lofc of evidence had been taken on both sides, judgment was given against the defendant, Buick, for £2 and, court costs. No order was rtfade • for cousel's fee, none having been applied for. J. Buick v. E. F. Charles. Claim £8. Mr J. H. Hankins for plaintiff, Mv Staite for defendant. Judgment for 10s.
