THE SOUDAN.
The correspondent ; of the Melbourne .Daily Telegraph m the Soudan war says that two privates— an Australian and* Guardsman— were strolling arm m arm through the camp during the march on Tamai. Coming hear a sentry they ,were challenged, and as they stupidly abstained from answering "Friends," the sentry, as. in duty bound, fired, and the Guardsman was shot.
