Messrs George Thomas and Co. report produce prices as follow :— There is a slight decline to note m quotation for Derwent potatoes, consequent upon the Australian market ceasing to draw supplies from New Zealand. A good steady trade demand exists at 655. Colonial flour, £8 10s to £8 15s ; Adelaide, £12 ; feed oats, 2s to 2s Id ; fowls' wheat, from 2s. 4d to 2s 8d ; fluke potatoes, 655 ; cocksfoot grass seed, 4^d ,.; . rye do, 3s 10d to 4s ; hams, 9^d to lOd; bacon, B£d; rolls, B|d ; fresh butter, scarce, Is Id ; salt do, slight local demand at 9d. ; cheese, market full, 4£d to 4£ d ; prime silverskin onions, £7 10s, eggs reduced to Is lOd and 2s. Poultry — Turkeys, 9s to 10s per pair*; geese, 7s ; ducks, 4s ; fowls, 3s 6d ; dressed fowls, 4s.
