Parliament, are warmly attached to the Transvaal and Orange Free State ; they are strongly opposed to the Britisli policy, hate the natives, and contemplate nothing less than a separation from England and the foundation of a new Republic, to be styled 'The United States of South Africa.' Should this -movement, with which many clergymen of the Koform«d Church sympathise, succerd, the position of the' .natives m South Africn, may .become no better than that of fcfiei Indiaus m the United States ofNorth America."
