MR FREKMAN R. JACKSON'S FORTNIGHTLY STOCK REPORT. Wednesday. To-day the pens wore all full of good useful stook. The bidding was animated, and prices ruled higher for all descrip- ; tions of store stock. Cattle advanced j fully 2s 6d, and store sheep Is to Is 6d S per head, the demand being principally j for ewes m lamb, empty cows, and young • store cattle. For fat stock the market ruled at about last quotations. Pigs wore m full numbers, with no important change m value, and the same may be said for horses. Cattle.— Fat cows, £4 12s 6d to £5 ; empty cows, £3 ; cows m calf, £2 10s ; 2-yr-old steers, £2 15s ; heifers, .£1 12s 6(1 ; weaners, £1 5s to £1 10s, according to qualities. Sheop. — Store wethers, 9s lOd to lla ; ewes, 9s to lla 6d ; fat ewes, 9s to 10s 4d ; old ewes, 6s to 6a 6d ; lambs, 5s Id. Pigs. — Porkera, 13s to 17s ; young picja, 68 to 9s : large bacon pigs, up to £3 10s ; pure-bred boar, £10 la.
