The defeat of the Gorernment was quite unexpected. A number of Liberals abstained from voting on Sir M. Flicks- Beach's motion. Th» Daily News states that the Government trill reaijjn. The Standard and Times both deprecate the result of the motion. June 10. It is generally believed that the Conservative party will accept office, if called upon to do so.
