Stevens aud t*nrton>s Report. Though we were disappointed of a large number of cattle we held a successful sale at Palmerston on the 9th instant. The attendance was. good and the bidding spirited. We sold all the cattle excepting one pen, and all the sheep and all the pigs, of which there were 65 yarded of various classes. We quote following prices : — Cattle.— Beef, £6 to £6 10s; fat cows, £4 10s ; 2-yr steers, £2 15s ; milch cows, £2 14s to £3 16s 6d. ,~ Sheep. — Ewes m lamb, low condition, 6s ; others, 7s 3d ; lambs m low condition, 2s 9d ; others. 3s to 3s Id. Pigs.— Fat, 34a to 60s ; store, 7s 6d ; well bred weaners, 7s.
