On Sunday evening tho public hall at Matakana was burned. All the Road Board's books and documents wore lost m tho fire, the origin of which is unknown. The building was insured m the Imperial for £150. Mr Kelly's supporters have subscribed £250 for the purpose of unseating Mr Sheehan for alleged corrupt praefcices at the lato Tauranga election.
