Considerable interest is being taken m . the Waimea election. At the nomination to-day six candidates were pi-oposed. A poll was demanded, and will take place next Wednesday. There are twelve polling places m twelve centres. Christchuuch, Wednesday. Mr D. McMillan addressed his' constituents at Sheffield last night, and received an unanimous vote of confidence* He said lie would accord a general sup^ port to the present Government.
