ENTRIES For Handicap Hurdles, Maiden Plate, Ladies' Purse, and Birthday Handicap will close on Wednesday, 20tli May, at 9 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No Entry will be received for any Ibice except upon this condition,— That all Disputes, Claims, and Objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this Programme shall be final. All Entries to be Sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Palmerston North ; Entrance Money Enclosed with Name, Age at the time of Eiitry, Pedijcree, and, m case the of Handicaps, Perfonniinces of the Horse, Name of the owner, and Colours of the Rider. Any Jockey riding except m the. colours entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start (the property of the same.owner) a Distinguishing Colour must be worn. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are reqnirod to give liotice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one lialf-hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this Rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys. to the Race Fund. All races to be run under the W.J.C. Rnlcs. Horses walking over will only receive half the Stakes. No horse to save its stakes m any race except where otherwise specified. No Entries or Nominations will be received imder any pretence whatever after the time specified for closing.
