Open to horses that have never won public money (hack races oxcepted). Distance, once round the coarse. Jockeys to ride m colors. 3. Maidkn Plate, 15 soys.; to start at 12.30 p.m. Entrance, 1 soy. Handicap Hack Race, 10 soys. ; to start at 3.15, p.m. Nomination, 10s; acceptance, 10s. For liorsos that havo not won an advertised race for six months prior to date of nominations (hack races excepted). Nominations must »bo m tho hands of the Secretary at 2 p.m. on .race day. Weights posted at Secretary's Office at 2.30 p.m. Acceptances not later than 2.45 p.m. Distance, once round the course. Jockeys to ride m colors. 7. Novel Race, 20 soys. ; to start 4 p.m. Post Entrance, 1 soy. Weights not less than 8 stone. For horses that have never won an advertised race (hack races excepted). The winner of this race to become the property of the Stewards, and to be sold immediately after the race. Any other horse m the race may be claimed for tho sum of £20 ; said sum to be paid to the owner, and any further sum realised to go to the funds of the Club.' Distance once round the course. ENTRIES, For Handicap Hurdles, Maiden Plate, Indies' Purse, anil Birthday Handicap will close on Wednesday, 20th May, at 9 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No Entry will be received for. any Race except upon this condition, — That all Disputes, Claims, and Objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this Programme shall be final. All Entries to be Sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Palmerston North ; Entrance Money Enclosed with Nnine, Age at the time of Entry, Pedigree, and, m case the of Handicaps, Performances of the Horse, Name of the owner, and Colours of the Rider.' Any Jockey riding except m the colours entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start (the property of the same owner) a Distinguishing Colour must be worn. - ■ All persons intending to withdraw horses, are req\ured to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour beforo starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with thi.3 Rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys. to the Race Fund. All races to be ran under the W.J.C. Rnles. Horses walking over will only receive half the Stakes. ■ No horse to save its stakes m any race except where otherwise specified. No Entries or Nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the time specified for closing.
