The trial of Cunutingham and Bur* ton on a charge of being concerned m tbo recent dynamite, explosions at the Houses of Pailiarnent, and the Tower of London, was concluded' to-day, when tho prisoners were each sentenced to penal -servitude for lire. l ' Lord Edmund Fitzmaurice, Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, | announced m the House of Commons to-day, that the Spanish Government has. refused to extend to England tho treatment of the most favored nation m pursuance of the convention, and that negotiation's for a commercial treaty have been broken off m consequence. In the House of Commons to-day, the Hon. Evelyn Ashley, Parliamentary Un-der-Secretary for the Colonies, stated m reply to a question, that m the return which the Pacific Commissioners had sent m were reports to their respective Governments, and every prospect of«»« tente cordiale m the question.
