Stevens and Gorton's Report.
Bolls, Saturday. We have every reason to be satisfied with the opening sale at our new yards, i near the Martou Hotel, yesterday. The entries were so numerous that every pen was 'filled with cattle and sheep: The attendance was unusually large, and tho bidding for cattle brisker than of late, but not so for sheep. We sold nearjy all the cattle and mo3t of the pens of sheep. We quote the following' pric< b : — Cattle. — Forward four-years bullocks, L6 ; fat cows, L4 to L 5 sa ; three-years', steers, L4 3s to L4 8s ; cows and calves, L2 2s Gd ; cows, 34s to L2 ; milch cows, L3toL 3 2s 61 ; weaver*, 21s. Sheep. — Forward wethers, 10s 6d ; f at sheep, 9s Gd; ewes m lamb, 7s 9d ; lambs m wool, 5s ; culled ewes, 2s 3d.
