The winner of this race to become the property of the Stewards, and to be sold immediately after the race. NOMINATIONS Will be received, addressed to the Secretary, at the Commercial Hotel, Palmerston North, up to Saturday, the 9th May, at 9 p.m. WEIGHTS Will be declared on Tuesday, 12th May. ENTRIES For Handicap Hurdles, Maiden Plate, Ladies' Purse, and Birthday Handicap will close on AVednesday, 20th May, at 9 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No Entry will be received for any Race except upon this condition, — That all Disputes, Claims, and Objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of tlds Programme shall be final. All Entries to be Sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Palmcrstori North ; Entrance Money Enclosed with Name, Age at the time of Entry, Pedigree, and, m case the of Handicaps, Performances of the Horse, Name of tkeVnvncr, and Colours of tlie Rider. Any Jockey riding except m the colours entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start (the property of the same owner) a Distinguishing Colour must be worn. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are rcquire.fi to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before starting.
