(united press association.) "Wellington, May 5. Captain Badham, who will have charge of the New Zealand artillery, has arrived m the Colony, but will inspect the Southern defences before coming to Wellington. The eight sixty-four-pounder guns, which arrived ot Auckland from Sydney this morning, are to be distributed throughont the colony* It has not yet been decided whether the militia will be called out but, m any case, unless hostilities occur between England and Russia, they will only, be palled out at Auckland.
