(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. ) Dunedin, April 30. Mr Fulton addressed the Taieri electors at Mosgiel. He defended the course he hadadoptedjin opposing the Government, and said he supported all the measures brought forward by them which he thought deserving of it. He denounced the district railways proposals. A vote of confidence was passed. Chrjstchurch:, April 30. It is rumoured that the idea of forming a company to establish a fruit-grow-ing settlement at Hokianga has been abandoned, and the promoters intend carrying on the settlement themselves. Mr Ferderli and party, with two surveyors, started for Hokianga to-day. Auckland, April 30. There are 108 through passengers by the Zealandia, among them Lord. Macdonald.. Nothing is known as to the state of things respecting the Seamen's Union dispute. The Union expected some of tneir representatives as passengers on board, and chartered a steamer to take the officers to visit the Zealandia but were not allowed to go alongside the ship, which remains m the Btream, and allows no one on board without a written order from the agents. A large body of seamen on the wharf are watching if seamen or firemen are being shipped, and the police are on the alert m case of disturbance. The Auckland cargo is only booked on condition that shippers undertook to put it on board, as the' Lumpors' Union refuse to handle the cargo.
