Nothing is known as to the state of things respecting the Seamen's Union dispute. The Union expected some of tneir representatives as passengers on board, and chartered a steamer to take the officers to visit the Zealandia but were not allowed to go alongside the ship, which remains m the Btream, and allows no one on board without a written order from the agents. A large body of seamen on the wharf are watching if seamen or firemen are being shipped, and the police are on the alert m case of disturbance. The Auckland cargo is only booked on condition that shippers undertook to put it on board, as the' Lumpors' Union refuse to handle the cargo.
