Butcher's Meat.
(TO THE KIUTOR ny THE STANDARD.") Sir, — By the Post I see that tho Gear Company quote the following prices for butcher's meat, viz., prime roasts of beef, 3-id per lb cash, 4<l booked ; loins and logs of Mutton, 23-d per lb cash, 3d booked. Can you tell me how it is that we have to pay a higher price m Manawatu from which much of the Wellington meat is obtained. — I am, &c, Householder.
