BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH — COPYRIGTH. (REUTER'S TELEGRAMS). London*, April 30. The Australian Federation Enabling Bill passed through Committee m the House of Lords to-day -without amendment. Mr Childers Chancellor of the Exchequer delivered his Budget statement m the House of Commons to-day. He ananounced that the revenue for the past financial year amounted to £88,050,000 and the expenditure £89,100,000. The revenue for the current year was estimated at £875,000,000 and the expenditure £88,750,000. Exclusive of the Naval and Military credit, £11,000,000, he estimated the deficiency at tha end of this year at £14,900,000. To covor this it was proposed to increase the Income Tax to 8d m the £, the duty on spirits hy two shillings, and on het-r by one shilling, and to suspend the Public Debt Sinking Fund.
