Masonic Re-union.

« KILWINNING LODGE, S.C. The Masonic Hall, Main-street, was last night the scene of a most enjoyable gathering, the event being the annual ball given under the auspices of the Scotch Lodge. Bro. L. G. West, acted efficiently as M-C. and Herr Norberg (violin), and Miss Norberg (piano), supplied the dance music. About eighty attended, and considerably more ladies. Host Walkley catered m his customary excellent style, the completeness of the arrangements being generally remarked and commended. A good sprinkling of the E.C. were present, the contrast of regalia colors having a pleasant effect together with the handsome dresses of the ladies, the latter eliciting universal admiration. The hall was prettily decorated with evergreens, masonic emblems, &c, considerable taste being displayed m the arrangements. During the evening a vocal and instrumental programme was introduced, helping to vary the possible monotony of continual dancing- Mesdames Hoe and Leigh sang a duett, "Music and her sister Song "; Mrs Hoe sang the " Caller Herrin " : Mr McKenna " When we were boys together " ;Mr Haybittle "Dear Little Jessie" and recitation " Curfew must not toll to-night " ; Mr T. King " Widow Malone " and recitation " Spirit of Contradiction " ; Miss Bannister and Miss Norberg also sang, (the names of the songs we could not ascertain). Mr Rutherford sang " The little Hero." Herr Norberg played a fantasia of Scotch airs on the violin, with considerable effect, his execution being much admired. Only one toast was proposed that of 11 The Ladies " by Mr T. King, and responded to by Mr H. W. Haybittle. The party broke up about 3.80, having had a most enjoyable reunion; m fact as pleasant a gathering as lias taken m Palmerston m connection with the Masonic body, whose assemblies are proverbially successful and pleasurable.
