PAPAKURA RACES.
(united press association.) Auckland, April 28. The Papakura races took place to-day There was a good attendance. Handicap Hurdles. — Eeveuge 1, Seagull 2, Evening Star 3. At the last hurdle Chandler fell, Pipi jumping on top of him. Chandler is believed to have his back broken, and his jockey (J. Laing) has sustained serious injury, believed to be concussion of the brain.
