(reuter's telegrams). London, April 20. In the House of Commons to-day Mr Gladstone announced that the Government had received a further despatch from Sir Peter Lumsden, but it was not m reply to inquiries made m a communication, of the 10th inst. wherein the Government asked the British Commissioner's retfort on all the circumstances connected with the Penjdeh incident. Mr Lumsden's present despatch, Mr Gladstone added, was conflictingwith the version of affairs recently published by the Russian Government from Komaroflf, and the Cabinet therefore must await further details before communicating Lumsden' l s despatch to the House. The statement made to Parliament to-day by the Premier caused a reenwal of anxiety as to the probable result of the Russo- Afghan difficulty. > St. Petersburg, April 20. The Russian Baltic fleet has now rendezvoused at Cronstadt and is making active preparations for sea.
