The Manawatu Railway Company,
(united press association.) Wellington, April 21. A poll 'was taken on the proposal to double the capital of the Wellington. Manawatu Railway Company, and re. suited as follows : — For the proposal 2470; against nil. • At the election to fill three vacancies on the Board of Directors of the Wel-lington-Manawatu Railway Company, Messrs Levin and Nathan were re-elect-ed, and John Kirkcaldie was also elected.
