London Markets.
The New Zealand Loan and. Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following telegram from their London office, dated 18th instant : — " Wool— The sales closed to-day at the level of last sales, except for superior greasy and good scoured, for which the mat ket is easier. Superior combing washed bus declined fully 2d to 3d per Ib. Medium and inferior greasy, ditto clothing washed, ditto combing washed, and faulty scoured, have all declined £d to Id per Ib. Fine cross-bred and coarse ditto have advanced £d to Id per lb. For good merino lambs, the market is unchanged, but faulty ditto is easier. There has been much irregularity m the biddings. The sales comprise about 195,000 bales. 40,000 bsles have been held over for future disposal ; 110,000 bales have been taken for the Continent, and 5000 for America. Wheat-— The market has a downward tendency. Adelaide is worth 388 per 4961bs ; New Zealand ditto, 365, and Tuscan, 388. Adelaide, f.a.q. is worth c.i.f. to arrive, 37* per 4801b5."
