TURNING THE FIRST SOD.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) "Wellington, This Day. Tlie first sod of the Main Trunk Line wa3 turned at Te Awamutu yesterday. Wahanui cut the sod, and the Premier wheeled the barrow. Speeches were made by Wahanui, Taonui, Rewi, and other well known chiefs and also by the Premier.
