Signor Hug.
In answer to numerous inquiries from various parts of the distnet as to the date of Signor Hug's arrival m Palmerston,. we may state that we had a telegram from him this morning, m which he regrets his inability to be here on his advertised date, which was yesterday, owing to great pressure of professional business at Masterton. He will, however, arrive by special coach to-morrow (Thursday) evening, and may be consulted on the following days during the remainder of his stay at the Commercial Hotel. It is probable his visit will not extend over any length ot time, as his advertised professional engagements further north will have to be fulfilled. Those desirous of interviewing the possessor of such marvollous powers as Signor Hug has proved he so beneficially utilizes, should make it a point to attend the first day after hig arrival, which will be Friday. Signor Hug's fame has increased to a large extent since his last visit, so that he may expect to be kepi pretty busy during his stay m Palmerston.
