CHRISTCHURCH J.C. AUTUMN MEETING.
Chkistchurch, April 6. The Autumn meeting of the Christchurch Jockey Club- opened under most favourable auspices to-day. The weather was grand, and the attendance was large. Sir J. Yogel arrived on the course shortly before the race, and was received by the stewards and conducted to the grand stand, the band playing " See the conquering hero comes." Free Handicap.— Russley 1, Talebearer 2, Tairoa 3. " Autumn Handicap. — -Rubina 1, Captain Webstor 2, Sou-wester 3. Champagne Stake. — Stonyhurst 1, Manchester 2, Hermitage 3. Hurdle Race. — Agnes 1, Ravenswood 2, Marquis 3. Epsom Welter Handicap.— Kingask 1, Puck 2.
