Attempted Escape from Gaol.

Cook .Gaol has been frus- | trate&^l* .appeals that for a few days as| convict named Crabtree, serving a sentence of 14 .years- for offences committed at Christehuroh; ' had been shamming sick and was. allowed to remain; m his hammock.
