FIIiST PIUZE, A.A. AND A.P. EX HIBITION 1883. £1000 Reward. CAUTION. ASK FOR HITCHEN'S Blood Restorer. The Great New eZealand Rmedy for Cleansing, Funfpng, AND .. Invigorating the Blood. nnHE Proprietor, m explaining. why ■_ he has not for some time puahetl the sale of the above, would state that he received such a serious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and! he has nut therefore been m a position to come before the public. He has not been; able to sa'isfy all the local and foreign demands, and was unable to administer as extensively as lie could have desired to the wants of a suffering world. Mr Hitchens is now happy to state that he is once again m a position to supply this health-giving Medicine, which he is convinced will, " with the blessiug of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. In coming before the public and planting his standard once more on the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind — i.c , sickness— he trusts that an overruling Providence will bless his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this eveuing's-i6fear appear a few of the hundreds. of, testimonials received by Mr Hiichens, one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. : It requires no further comment thau to say that lm illness was of a most severe type, baffling the ' skill of medical men, while otlier infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Here is what Captain Farquhar says of Hitchens' Blood Restokee. Auckland, October 15, 1883:' Dear Sir, — " ...■ For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, aud as a last resource I was recommended to give your blood restorer a trial, which 1 did, and I have much pleasure m testifying that after taking it for three months I completely recovered my health. I must say I had no faith m it at first, but the result was such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers. — I am, Sir, faithfully yours, "W. Farquhar, Master Mariner, Ponsonby. . To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. . The Proprietor would here intimate that £1000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by his mediciue has been over-estimated. The proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the' cures. ; effected. He is .also willing to- meet m public the medical gentlemen who .have, attended ; the patients and have pronounced them incurable, aud answer questions put relative- to the fects of the cases quoted. Medical men's uames have, from motives , of consideration, been excluded from all , testimonials, but then personal acknowledgement would add increased brilliancy ito the fame of the medicines. . "I Mr Alexander Eagleton, Hairjdresser, * of Queen-street, Auckland, ; suffered with a paralysed arm, with ievery indication: of the dtseaserspreading jthrough the body. The doctors, pro('nounced the case hopeless, and friends believed his, end was drawing near, iwhen he was induced to give Hitchens' ißlood Restorer a trial, the result being" an imiuediate-change tor' the better; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored . to health and strength.'' ..<■:.:'■■■■ Sheridan-street, off Wellington-street, Auckland, December 1, 1882. Dr said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another, medical man to see me, and I was told that / would probably live only a short time, and it was no use\.of,tlieyr holding out false hopes, 'I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what", was the matterj "and- my husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hitchens' Blood Restorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did ao, and after using the third bottle m the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation m my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to do me more good. The result ia that after using eight bottles, I am now quite well, do my own washing, and all the liouse- work, aud feel quite as well as when I first came to New Zealand five years ago.
