A Lost Child.
[Marton Paper.] The, little child of Mr Kew, of Mount Stewart, Sandon, which was lost on Sunday lust by straying away from 'home, was found on Monday imnnrng a considerable distance trora. tlw' 4ronse,' itr sonte^Wax and toi-toi bushes. J 'Water holes were searched, and the dam waa dragged, and as a last resource, they determined to . let water out of the i-lani 4 Mr IVTatiheW, one of the search party, was going across the paddock to get a spade to open the dam, \vhen he sa\r :; a tdf*mi the ground, which he presumed belonged to the child. Ho cboeyed to the others, and several went and searched about the place for a while, and found the little child Kitting on the ground, looking as if shp.jhad- ju>t awoke out of her sleep. It is remarkable that the child, which is only two years old^ must have gone down a steep incline to reach the place m which it was discovered.
