At the Wanganui Police Court yesterday the hearing of the ease against T. Watlrins for alleged embezzlement of the proceeds of cattle sold belonging to Dr. Curl, was taken up, Mr Esam appearing for the informant and Mr Hutchision for the accused. ■ After hearing the evidenco of Dr Curl, Mr Winchcombe, Mrs Palmer, and Constable Lister, his Worship said that the case was a very weak one, and the prisoner would be discharged. A fresh information could be laid if necessary. Two other charges of a similar nature wero preferred against the accused, who was then remauclod till Thursday next.
