Balding, chief officer of the Wakatu, guilty of an error judgment m connection with the steamer striking a rock off Motamau Island, near Lyttelton. The court, however, did not wish to deal harshly with him and returned his certificate but ordered him to pay the costs of the enquiry amounting to £5. E. Peace, was unanimously re-elected chairman of the Harbor Board. Up to present, applications have been received for 51,000 square feet of space at the Industrial Exhibition. It is expected all Ministers will be here by Sunday. \ . The recess committee of the .Legislative and Library Committee, yesterday, held an enquiry into the alleged irregularity of one of the House officials. The result has not yet transpired. Blenheim, Fek 24. The Hon. Mr Larnach, Minister of Mines, arrived m Blenheim last night, overland from Christchurch via Awatere. He leaves for Nelson to-morrow, weather permitting, via Tophouse.
