As a great many people seem to be m ignorance of what sorb of articles will do for exhibits at the forth' coming exhibition, the following sketch sent by Captain HeiMPTON, secretary of the New Plymouth-corn-niittee, to Mr C. E. Major, chairman of (-he Hawera committee, may be of interest :— Charcoal : Exhibits from various woods of the district, showing sample of wood'froni which the chavcoal"is derived alongside each exhibit ofcharcoa'.
