The Easter Monday Race Meeting.
(TO THE- EDITOR OV THE STANDARD.) Sir. — Is it really true that the Palmerston Jockey Club are- going to hold their race meeting on Easter Monday, so as to clash with the jFeilding meeting? Surely they will not stand m their own light by doing such a stupid thing, when by holding the meeting the day following that of Feildiug, they will ensure good entries for themselves and an ad-* vantage. to this club. Hoping to hear it is only ah hoax, — I-ain&c. ; Ben. Goslikg. Feilding, Fob. 14th, 1885.
