Aorangi left for London at 4.45 p.m. with the English mail. Dunkpin, Feb. 14 Lawrence White, one of the men who were convicted of manslaughter of William Meldrum at Nen thorn, was brought up at the City Police Court on Saturday, charged with behaving mutinously and

riotously m gaol. As he promised to behave m future he was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. The splendid weather for the past week, and which promises to continue has brought the crops forward fust. Har-' vesting is beginning m the Southern districts, and the results are expected to be very satisfactory. . - - - •
