Blundell is gazetted Chief Inspector of Sheep for the Wanganui district, also Cattle Inspector under the Diseased Cattle Act, also registrar of brands for the same district. The following telegraphic despatch, from the Governor of Adelaide, is gazetted to his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand :—■" The Secretary of State directs me by telegram to inform your Excellency that the French Government are about to instruct their naval forces m China to enforce belligerent rights, including the right of search of neutral ships at sea for contraband of war.
