Dr Stuart, Mr Macandrew, M.H.R., and Mr Macdonald, the rector. In acknowledging the vote of thanks, his Excellency referred m feeling : terms to the death of General Got don, who had been a personal friend of his. A more pure, generous, noble.mm■- ■ de 4 man than Gordon never lived.. He. waa a pattern to the rising generation.
