MESSRS MONTEITH AND COS REPORT.

Messi'ts Monteith and Co, report that at their weekly sale at the Horse Bazaar, Napier, on Saturday morning 42 horsos were catalogued, comprising a draft of 30 hacks and light harness horses from Poverty Bay, the whole ot' which were sold without reserve, and realised price* very satisfactory to the sellers. Altogether 37 head changed hands, an unusually large proportion of the entry. Light horses aud good useful hacks are m good demand, but draught stock are still very dull of sale. They quote heavy draught at £85 to £10 ; medium do, £35 to £30 ; light harness horses, £15 to A'2o ; weight carrying hacks, .£ls to £25 ; useful station hacks, £8 to £12 ; light and weedy hacks from £6 downwards.
