Melbourne, Feb. 10. The manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of. New Zealand reports of the local markets as follows: — Shipping wheat has a slightly improved tendency at 3s 7(1"; malting barley depressed at 4s to 4* 9d ; New Zealand feeding oat> show no material change, and are, if anything, weaker. Quotations, 2s 9d to 3s 3d. Milling sorts are steady, but not m active demand, at 3s yd ib 3s 6d. New Zealand oats, under bond, continue slow of sale at 2s to 2s 9«1. The market for kauri timber is steady, but not active. Quotations unchanged. !
