Important Auction Sales.
On Friday, next Messrs Stevens and Gorton will hold their great annual stock sale at tho Oroua Downs Homestead. The vendors will be Messrs McLenuan, (oti behhif of tho Hou. R. Campbell,), and F. 8.. Lark worthy, two well-known breeders, tho stock from whose runs, being bred with great carOj are always iii demand, and command hi>{h figures. There will bo offered fat and store cattle' rams, fat and store sheep, draught horses and hacks. Detailed; particulars now j appear m a special advertisement. We ! may add that the auno.il stock sales at the Oroua Downs estate are year by year becoming of a more important character, to which are attracted breeders dosir- • bus of improving their flocks 'and herds, and buyers from all parts of the East and West Coasts.
• On Friday next the 13th instant, In the exchange auction rooms, Wellington, Messrs T. K. . Macdonald & Co. will oilier some very valuable properties m Fitzherbert. The particulars are. given m advertisements, and will bo found worthy the perusal of capitalists, and intending investors'. The properties to be offered are probably as valuable investments as could be found m the whole district, each possessing special advantages of soil, situation, &c. For each there should be eager competition, •as it is not every day m the year that such properties are offered by public auction. A plan can be poen at this office.' The sale will begin at 2 p.m. punctually, and the bidding willprobubly be spirited for each property. ,
On Friday, next 13th inst., Mr M. R. Miller will hold a very important, extensive and absolute sale at Mount Erin estate, Hawke's Bay, of Lincoln owes, stud ewes, ram lambs, and other sheep, besides draught horses and dray, implements, &c, &c. The sale will bn held at Minuit 15 rin station yards, to which intending buyers will be conveyed by special coaches, jstarting from Hastings railway station on day of sale, on arrival of the morning train. Very full particulars of this most important sale are given m the advertisement, from which it will be seen that an opportunity is offered of obtaining first class sheep that does not often occur. The catalogue as published comprises GSO choice 2-tooth Lincoln ewes, 1300 4-tooth ditto, 1600 6-tooth, 1700 8-tooth, 500 culls, 1200 large wedders, 350 2-tooth ewes, fiist cross ; also 300 stud ewes, 2, 4, 6, and $- tooth, and 100 ram lanfbs. An auctioneer's note states that the small stud flock are from Lincoln ewes, imported by Messrs McLean, of Auckland, from the celebrated flocks of Messrs Clarke and Vcssey, Lincolnshire, England; This very important aalo will commence at half-past 12 noon, '■
