Dates from Europe to January 17. A despatch from Liverpool, dated Jauuary 17, says it has been ascertained that the steamer Admiral Morrison, plying between Dublin and Holyhead, sank m a severe storm on the night of the 15ih January, Twelve of the crew and four passengers were drowned. The steamer collided with an American ship, the Santa Clara. The Duke of Edinburgh will publish a collection of poems delicated to the Duchess of Edinburgh, entitled ''Love Songs of a Violinist." A mass meotingof the unemployed, fully 10,000 being present, was held m front of the Royal Exchange, London, at which Henry George, Miss Helen Taylor, and other well-known Radicals, wave speakers. Radical pamphlets were sold m large numbers. Some were headed m bold type, " Blood., Bullets, and Bayonets," and made appeals "to tho half-starved, her-ring-gutted, poverty stricken, parish inhabitants of a disunitted kingdom." Kdmund Yates, tne editor of the London World, will rank during his confinement as a first-class misde meanant. After the court pronounced its decision, Yates surrendered to the officers, and was removed from the court and placed m custody. He refused to further au appeal of his case to the House of L r >rds. ' At Birmingham 5000 persons, out of employment, adopted a resolution asking the corporation to furnish employment. A procession later on marched through the streets, halted before a bakery, and shouts of " Break iv " was heard. An artisan stoic a loaf of bread, and was promptly arrested. Violence among the working classes was feared. The London police received information on January 10 that simultaneous attempts were about to be made by the dynamiters to blow up the Holborn Viaduct, the Mansion House and the railway station. The Duke of Marlborough's overture to his divorced wife for remarriage has been rejected. On the 9th January the Lord Mayor of London retused the uce of Gu'ldhall for a meetiug at which Henry George was announced to deliver an address on the subject of the trade depression.
