Most journals advise strong reinforcements consisting partly of Indian and native regiments to be despatched to Suakim, thence to open the road to Berber. A Cabinet Council will be held to-day to consider the Soudan position. Sir Charles Dilkc, President of the Local Government Board, speaking at Pttddington last night, announces that Wolseley telegraphs there is no cause of anxiety as to the position of the British troops at Gakduh and Mctcmneh.
