]VI r George Thomas reports produce prices as follows: — "The grain market is m a rather uncertain condition. The new crops which are. now on the point of introduction are quite unsettling usual rates. Oats have not much activity, and old samples rule from 2s 9<J to 2s lid, while the first consignment of new grain is valued at 2s 7«I. Poiatoes, until fairly ripe, will not maintain a fixed value at preseut. The quotations rule from £4 io £5, according to quality. Fowl wheat has a brisker inquiry, and good samples are firm at 2s 9d ; new cheese, 5d to s^l ; eggs are source, and now worth Is 4d ; aud advance on this price is imminent. Poultry is m only fair demand ; fowls, 3d 0d ; ducks, 4s to 4s 3d; geese, 6s; turkeys, 9s per pair:
