M. R. MILLER. MOUNT EEIN, HAWKE'S BAY. Important and Absolute ' Sale of MOUNT ERIN LINCOLN FliOuliS, ON FRIDAY, 13th FERRUARY. Fin-IE Sale will be held at Mount JL Erin Station Yards. Coaches will be m waiting at Hastings Railway Station on the arrival of the morning trains on sale day to convey intending purchasers to Mount Erin. Orders for the inspection of the sheep can at any time be obI tamed at the Office of the Auctioneer. The Mount Erin flock, originally 15,000 sheep, part of Mr TanneiiV flock, has been heavily culled every year since coming into the present owner's hands, and from his using only the highest class Lincoln Rams the whole of the sheep are now nearly pure, grand healthy sheep, good size, and clip and quality may be judged from fact of last year's wool, although heavy m grease, realising for fleece from 8d to 9£d per pound, and that m a low market. The sales from the station this season have been only wedders ancl second-class sheep, but amongst those to be offered on 13th are the choice flocks hitherto reserved. The only lot now reserved is 3500 hoggets, and as the Monnt Erin Estate has been sold (with the exception of a few sections on the ilats) and delivery must be given on 19th Feb., these sheep must be sold. The lots consist of — 650 choice 2-tooth Lincoln Ewes 1300 m lots, 4-tooth do do BUO do 6-tooth do do 800 do 6-tooth and rising 8 Lincoln Ewes 1700 m lots, 8-tooth (fresh ) Lin- ' coin Ewes 500 Culls, mixed ages 650 large Wedders, 6 and Btooth, m good forward condition 550 large Wedders, 6 ana 1 Btooth, fat 350 Ewes, 2- tooth, first cross Also, 300 Stud Ewes, 2, 4, 6, and Btooth, with 100 Rain Lambs The small stud ftock are from , Lincoln Ewes imported by Messrs McLean, of Auckland, from the. celebrated flocks of Messrs Clarke and Vjcssey, Lincolnshire, England.
