Oats are lightly held, pending the possibility of lower values for the new grain ; present quotations, 2s lOd to 3s 1«); iHains and bacon are still linn at lOd all round ; cheese shows no disposition to alter f/om present rates, 5d to s|d ;.eggs have brightened a little since last report, an<s are worth Is. Fresh butter does not cotntnand aity attention. From last Sydney reports, New Zeaiand salt batter is valued there at lid.
