Fatal Boat Accident.
ONE MAN DKOTOED: (UNITED-pftlSffAßßriCl^riSiir.) . . ChwstchubcHj Jan 20. To-day' a. sailing didat belonging to Mark Thomas, Contractor for carrying the mail from Lyttelton to Purau, capsized m the harbour half a mile from the breakwater. Thomas, with ■= four men — Lewis, Higgs, King, and ! Thomas— were m the boat. King, who leoufd'nU swim, was drowned; the others clung to the mast and oars till they were picked up by boats, which put out on seeing the accident. A s^iff nor'westejf was blowing and a heavy sea running when the accident occurred. King's body has not yet been recovered. ' " '
