Laery and Oampell report : — Business is steady, although, as usual at tin's time of the year, there is never a great deal doing. Bust brands of flour continue to realise £9'per ton ; milling wheat is worth 3s 6d to 3s 9d, but there is little demand; feed wheat is more inquired for at 2s 6d to 3s ; pollard and bran are slow of sale, and may be quoted 95s and 90s per ton ; oats are supplied m excess of demand, we should quote a good short feed oat at 2s lOd to 3s ; malt, 5s 9d to os, demand limited; hops are a drug, but are nominally <. .WPrtbj 8d to 9d per lb ; oatmeal £H per ton $ linseed. , £13 ; peas, 8s 6d per bushel ; honey, wprjl} about 5d per lb ; beeswax, about 10i ; I moije-made jmm, 5s 9d to 5s JOd per

dozen ; butter, 6d to 7d ; cheese. 5(1 to s£d ; potatoes continue to recede m price, and may now be quoted at £5 per ton ; onions are cheapening very fast, too, aud cannot l>o quoted as worth much I more thau £10 per ton ; Day, 90s per ton ; straw, 60s ; oaten hay chaff, 70s. Poultry is more plentiful now than it was a ahort time back ,and may be quoted at 3s 6d to 4s for fowls per pair ; ducks. 4s to 5s Gd do ; geese which are never very saleable, 3s each ; turkeys about 5s each ; eggs 9d per dozen. Fruit is com ing forward but slowly, and prices m consequence are ruling fairly well. At the horse sale on Saturday there were a good many lots placed at prices satisfactory to the vendors.
