A miner named Hugh' Brennan, tor a length of time past engaged about the Weicome Battery, was found hanging by the neck m the battery-house on Thursday morning last. Deceased slept m the battery-house, and no motive is known for the rash act. The suicide appears to have been planned with great deliberation, the rope having been v well oiled to ensure the knot slipping. An inquest wilt be held, v ,;■
