Tremendous commotion was caused at the Roman Catholic Cathedial, of Armidale, on Christmas morning.* Dur- ' ing the service, as Bishop Torreziana was about to celebrate mass, a man named McCafferty, an Irishman, walked up the church with a sword m his hand.
