Stevens and Gorton's Report.
We held a successful sale at Feildiug on Weduesday. The yards were very fairly tilled with both cattle and sheep and the pleasant change of the demaud being greater than the supply was certainly experienced. The attendance was good. The bidding spiiited aud tho prices realized were on par with those at our last sale at Awnlmri where such a marked improvement m rates were shown We disposed of nearly all the lots the majority being under the hammer. The following were the prices obtained : — 3 and 4-yr bullocks, small lot, £4 10s ; 2-yr steers, £3 7s 6.1 j yearling steers, 32s 6d ; cows, a few with calves. £3 ; fat cows, £4 to £4 2s 6il ; forward cews, £3 10b ; store cows 355, to £2 5s ; 2-yr heifers, 38a 6d ; yearling heifers, 20s ; forward sheep, 8s 6d to 8s 9d ; 2 and 4tooth mixed, 8s 4d ; shorn ewes and lambs, 7s 6d ; fat sheep, 10s ; 2 pen of fat wethers passed m at 10s 6d, the only few hacks from scrubbers at £2 to £3 15s.
